Drew Zaleta Leads Heavy Scoring List for Week #9 (2024)

Week #9 saw some big time efforts and we are starting to get a feel of who will shine in the postseason, the fun is starting.

If we miss someone on the list please let me know, I try to ascertain as much info as I can but sometimes the info is not available, feel free to send me an email at andre@tnprephoops.com with any scoring info, interesting facts including 1,000 point scorers and such.

Wes Grace (Red Boiling Springs) became the Bulldogs all-time leading scorer with his 28 point effort against the Webb School. Grace currently stands at 1,873 points.

Andre Hollins (White Station) added another milestone to his accomplished high school career going over the 2,000 point mark this past week.

Kedren Johnson (Marshall County), the Vanderbilt signee, is slowly leading his squad back into the state's consciousness with big wins over Spring Hill and a 25 point effort over Columbia Central. Marshall County stands at 10-0 in district play.

Caleb Chowbay (Mt. Juliet) is quietly having an outstanding season; the talented junior point guard scored 28 points in a big district win over Gallatin.

Cory Billingsley (Sweetwater) moved past the 2,000 point mark in his career with his 37 point effort against Sequoyah, the talented senior guard also signed with Lee University to close out his best week ever.

Phillip Mays (Wooddale) is fast becoming no longer a secret in Memphis with efforts like his 44 point outburst against Houston.

Alex Poythress (Clarksville Northeast) is one of the most highly sought after prospects in the country in his class, the burgeoning junior throttled Springfield with 31 points, snatched 12 caroms and swatted 10 shots for a cozy little triple double effort.

T.J. Roberts (MJCA) scored 27 points against King's Academy pushing the senior guard over the 1,000 point mark in his career.

Zavion Williams (West Creek) is playing at a very high level, the Lipscomb signee dropped 31 points early in the week against Henry County and for good measure added 28 more against Kenwood.

Jonathan Evans (University) made school history this week scoring 43 points against Unaka and breaking the previous school game high scoring record.
