How Do You Access The Content?

The 5DayDeal crew has worked hard to make it easy to access your content. Once you have purchased the bundle, you will be sent a login for their online learning system, where you’ll find all the products. From here, you stream your courses directly using their integrated learning management system. This handy system helps you navigate the treasure trove of content, marking things as “complete” once you have finished each course. If you prefer to download the courses to keep them on your computer, you’ll be given that option during checkout.

My preferred method is to use their learning system to watch the courses for the first time. Then, if there is one that really jumps out at me as something I will want to revisit again later, I mark that one for download and keep it on my computer.

What’s New?

With three bundle options and 50 products in total, I don’t have time to tell you about ALL of them, but I have had access to the bundle contents for the last few weeks, and I wanted to at least highlight my favourites.

I was particulary impressed with the Black and White Natural Drama Course by Serge Ramelli. I must admit that I don’t often think to shoot for black and white images, but Serge’s course reminded what a powerful tool a B&W conversion can be. I’ll definitely be thinking more about this next time in out with my camera. Serge’s course are usually pretty expensive. This one normally sells for $147, but here you’ll get it included in the bundle with $2000+ worth of other stuff. That’s hard to beat.

I also learned a ton of great stuff watching the Dodging & Burning Master Course by Greg Benz. This course tackles the complex topic of creating the look of a 3D world from our 2D photographs. When the dramatic light you saw in the real world doesn’t translate well through your RAW files, dodging and burning is the answer. I’m a keen follower of Greg’s blog, so I was particually pleased to see his work in this year’s bundle.

Another course that caught my eye was Elia Locardi’s Photographing the World 1, presented by FStoppers. With 15 lessons and more than 12 hours of video content, this tutoriallets you join Elia on location in Iceland and New Zealand, where you’ll learn everything about travel and landscape photography, from the basics, right through to crafting complex in-camera scenes using filters. This course alone is worth buying the Charity bundle for as it usually costs a whopping $299.99!

As I said, this is just skimming the surface, and there are 47 other courses available. I know I’ll be working my way through them for months to come.
