Is it possible to fail Disco Elysium? ›

There are two checks in Disco Elysium that are hard-coded to fail. One can be found along the coast on the other side of the river. It's a door that Kim thinks leads to a wartime supply depot.

Barred door (Exit E). To open this door, you'll need to pass a Physical Instrument check. However, to reach it on the roof, you'll need to complete the task Prove Your Authority to Titus Hardie. At that point, Klaasje will finally let you into her room (#5), which will give you a route to the roof (via Exits C and D).

When you make it to the Flak Tower on the Island, you'll encounter a blast door (#1) blocking your way. To open it, you'll need to power up a nearby console (#3), which will require you to fill a generator (#2) with fuel. Outside the Flak Tower, you'll find a LUM Fuel Canister in a sniper's nest (#4).

Attempting the "medium" Suggestion check during your encounter with Dolores-Dora won't make any difference.
