Ah, teenage romance. Pretty much the same in every culture. Love and angst. I am not sure if Korea has a word like the Japanese do for cute in all forms like kawaii - but if they do, this is it. A beautiful girl in a wheelchair and a nerd who is in love with her. As sweet as a Raspberry tart. This being a Korean film, I fully expected it at some point to get super melodramatic - one of them gets a fatal disease or has an accident or drifts away only to return 20-years later or is really a North Korean spy. C'est chou mais ça ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard. Et en même temps, c'est une comédie romantique adorable et pas misérabiliste pour un sou sur une personne handicapée qui prend sa vie en main mais sans être une espèce de surfemme, juste quelqu'un de normal qui reconnaît les difficultés et fait avec. Et son handicap n'est jamais cause de problème dans la relation, c'est un détail à côté. Alors si, ça casse trois pattes à un canard en fait.

It seems like this movie don't have a particular plot and the girl is not bossy at all but what I like this movie is that it shows disability is not the hindrance to live life to the fullest ,to fall in love ,spend quality time with family and hung out with friends also doing the tings or hobby that makes you happy and feel that you are truly alive and normal in this judgmental society.

A very by-the-numbers Korean romance film complete with gorgeous characters and soppy manipulative music, but........ it works. My Bossy Girl (not a fan of this unwitting My Sassy Girl sounding title) is a film, that while it feels very down the straight and narrow by playing it safe, always manages to feel full of heart and the performances always feel very much the same. You can't help but let yourself go and get wrapped up into this lovely little story of two people at odds with the world finding one another and falling completely in love. The story was fairly generic and I found the movie to be a standard Korean Rom-Com. The leads are likable but for me what elevates a Korean Rom-Com is the supporting cast and here I found that lacking. Oh also I don't get the English title, The female lead wasn't bossy.
