It is challenging to define a best-in-slot list for Frost, as it heavilydependson your progression level and gear. You cannot simplyuse the lower-tier equipment of any given best-in slot list, as stat weightswillthen shift, and you will likely be missing certain breakpoints.

Feel free to check below for a maxed-out Mythicbest in-slot list, but be warned that unless you have access to all of thosepieces, this is not the best you can get for your character right now.Simulation is always needed to be sure what is actually good for you at yourcurrent gear level. The below charts are simply for those who wish for achecklist to go for, like someone who is finishing the tier on farm or someonegearing up a new alt quickly using dungeon spam.

Itshould be close enough for lower item levels to be irrelevant, however.Additionally, there are many many sidegrade options that work out to befunctionally identical. Please sim your character to be sure, but this isposted as a sort of checklist for people farming out a new characterquickly.

Dragonflight Season 4 continues the upgrade system from previous seasons.The notable exception is that rare end boss items that historically dropped at ahigher item level, can actually be upgraded to that higher maximum if boughtwith Antique Bronze Bullion, as shown in the next section.

Season 4 offers a way to target specific, powerful items with the new Antique Bronze Bullion. Here are the best items to spend your Bullionson in Dragonflight Season 4.

The easiest way, and also the method we suggest, to compare multiple itemsis to use Raidbots' Top Gear. Here, you can input an exportfrom the Simcraft AddOn,select the items to compare, and it will find out which of the items arebest.

Most of the hard-to-find items from this expansion have made their way tothe Antique Bronze Bullion vendor. This takes a lot of the guesswork outof gearing, and drama out of rare drops. Everyone is free to get Voice of the Silent Star!

As to trinkets, Whispering Incarnate Icon beats everything by a fairbit. Alongside it, Umbrelskul's Fractured Heart, Furious Ragefeather, and if you want to skip the Vault RNG, Belor'relos, the Suncaller are all fantastic second trinkets for raid.

For Mythic+, Whispering Incarnate Icon still beats everything,but Tome of Unstable Power is absurdly strong on any form of AoE. Failingthat, both Furious Ragefeather and Umbrelskul's Fractured Heartare decent in dungeons. It really cannot be overstated just how strong Tome ofUnstable Power is, however. It is a good 2% ahead of the rest of them, which isabsurd given the usual difference is sub-1%.

Additionally, Umbrelskul's Fractured Heart's auto-kill mechanic soundsgreat on paper for dungeons, but in practice it will only proc a handful oftimes at useful points. Simming seems to have it at about a 1-2% DPS increase,but still a fair bit behind Tome of Unstable Power in AoE. It is still anamazing single target trinket, and acceptable in dungeons, but do not go out ofyour way for it if you do not raid.

Ideally, you skip the chest piece and pick up the other four slots.

As noted on the Rotation page, the 2-piece set bonus does change ourrotation ever so slightly on 2 targets, and heavily incentivizes freezinganything you can hit with a Glacial Spike.

While you can craft gear for any slot up to item level 525, there arecertain pieces with extra powers or the ability to add powers via extra itemsduring the crafting process. You may have two of these "Embellished" piecesequipped at once. The idea is to craft twoitems with Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch, usually on the wrists andbelt (or boots if you are intending to use the Engineering wrists).

In addition, it is anextremely good idea to have one more crafted piece to support taking Alchemical Flavor Pocket, as that will drastically prolong the life ofyour guild's food stocks. This does not count towards your Embellished count.This can be obtained by either the Iskaaran Community Feast weekly quest, orbought from the Auction House.

As a bonus, Engineering can craft bracers for everyone that can slot in atinkerthat does not count towards your two Embellishedlimit. While most are of questionable value, Tinker: Arclight Vital Correctors allows you to have a battle resurrectionavailable as a class that traditionally does not have it. This can beuseful with our Invisibility, as we can provide wiperecovery.
