About the house:
4 bedroom home, 1.5 bath, large back yard with bike storage, large garden and flower beds, shed, fire pit and covered patio. This house has plenty of storage!!! House is old as is insulation, so temperatures fluctuate a lot here. Central heating system and A/C window unit in the living room. Sound does travel here and occasionally people like to play loud music and sing, with respectful boundaries of course. We dont have set quiet hours, but we do a good job of respecting peoples sleep schedules and communcating any sound issues! This is not a party house, but we do like to have friends over occasionally. Maintaining the front yard and garden beds is a lease requirement here, but we can also discuss hiring a professional landscaper as a group. We plan to establish an organized chore board with new roomies. Currently the upstairs roomies have been buying bulk cleaning supplies/TP together--the basem*nt was previously operating separately, but our system can be revisited.

The neighborhood
There is a cute coffee shop, a corner store and two dive bars all in a short walking distance. A few restaurants as well, and a dispensary. The neighborhood is pretty quiet except for a nearby motorcycle shop. A orange max line 2 blocks away. If you have a car, there is usually enough street parking on the block.

Utilities cost breakdown:
gas/electric/internet- averages about $45-$80 per person a month depending on season
Water quarterly- $100-$150 per person

Current climate:
Our house has undergone a large shift, with three roommates vacating and two remaining at the end of our lease on July 1st. We are looking to establish a healthy culture and are looking for someone who is a good communicator, open to feedback, handles conflict well, has a stable job history and takes initiative to maintain a clean house and yard. Ideally someone in their mid twenties through early thirties, no gender preference.

Basem*nt suite: with couple $980, single occupant $775

About basem*nt suite: this area is mostly private--the washer and dryer is located in the kitchenette area and there's a shared storage space off kitchenette. There's a large half bath in the basem*nt as well that's pretty much all yours. Occasionally someone from upstairs might ask to use if other bathroom is occupied(rare). Back garden gate to the back door is the main basem*nt entrance as it leads you immediately downstairs. Carpeted bedroom is large with a walk in closet, built in desk, small window and west facing well window. Bedroom gets a good amount of natural light. There's a secondary closet In the hallway near the half bath. Most of basem*nt is a mix of concrete and linoleum tiles. There's a small area that is partially finished with a counter top. Would make a great creative space, dining area or reading nook, however there's no windows and it shares space with heating system. The kitchenette is where the washer and dryer lives, and has wall to wall counters and cabinets, full sized fridge and a sink--a ton of kitchen storage here! All you need is a hot plate or griddle to get cookin! We share the upstairs oven with the basem*nt, but can also share the stove too.

Single occupant room: $450-$500, depending on if a couple or single occupant take basem*nt suite.

The room is on the main floor of the house. It has two doors one near the bathroom and living room, the other to the back patio, basem*nt and kitchen. It has southwest facing corner windows, with views of the backyard. This room gets the best light for plants! Room is directly above the basem*nt bedroom and has a room above it. I would not recommend this room to a light sleeper if subtle noises wake you. Room has wide but not very deep closet in bedroom. There are cabinets and drawers right outside the room in the hallway which is shared with the upstairs roomate.

About the roommates:
H-30, Portland born and raised, loves to make weird and beautiful art, enjoys gardening and craft beers, homebody type that likes to play video games and listen to metal.

C-25, active and outdoorsy, likes hiking, climbing, surfing and the gym. Loves to read and work on cooking skills.

Spinach- the most precious kitty blessed us with his presence via the streets and is now a certified ESA kitty for C. He is an indoor/outdoor cat and spends most of his day outside. He is very tolerant/easy going and does not mark or vomit.
